Thoughtful Tuesday: Rant and Rave

Well, fans, I'm still pooped.

This weekend was a doozy!  Bosses said I was out like a light.  No peeps.  All was quiet at the ranch.  I decided to give them a break.

My favorite carpet spot: the hallway upstairs by the kitchen.
I thought I would extend a huge thank you to everyone who has read my blog so far- I'm still pretty young, and Bosses have only taken me to one grade of Obedience School, so give me a break if my "etiquette" isn't up to sniff...oh, I meant snuff.  You know what I mean.  I'll try to reel you in for the long haul- I've got MANY years left, brace yourselves!

See?  I learned how to sit!  My grandpa's dog, JJ, can't do that!
I also want to thank all the wonderful folks at RAGOM for everything they have done for me- whether it was letting me hang my head at their home, bathing me when I was a wee little pup, entertaining me at events (like Meet & Greets, Goldzilla, etc), and giving me the life I've always wanted!  Thank you, everyone!

Did someone say, "wee little pup"?!  Here I am!
I've got so much to look forward to in the coming months.  I'll be going camping with the Bosses and their friends and adjoining pups this weekend in Southern Minnesota- I'm more than stoked for that.  That means LOTS of puppy playtime and hiking!  Count me in!  I will also be turning 1 YEAR OLD in a few weeks!!! Can you believe it?!?!? Bosses say it felt like yesterday that they brought tiny little me home to live with them.  Boy, what a ride it has been!  I think Bosses are crafting up something wonderful for my birthday- I overheard them possibly saying that a group birthday party with all my siblings might be in the works, but maybe my ears are a bit fuzzy!  Well, I guess they are literally fuzzy, but you get the point!  Bosses are doing their best to make an awesome Birthday Week for me!
Well, good treat-givers, I'm afraid I have been away from my favorite carpet spot way too long...it's time to hit the hay.

Didn't make it to the carpet spot- patio will have to do!
Chow!  Hope to bark at you all again at full force tomorrow!

"Morning After" Monday- The Hangover

I guess this title is rather, well, not completely what you think it is.

Goldzilla 2014.  It happened.  And I am very worn out.

First, I walked with the Bosses from their car on what I thought was a nice long walk through a park.
I was wrong.

The three of us walked up to this HUGE pack of gold furry things.  They all looked like me!  This was fantastic!  We found Foster Mom, who I looooove, and I found my brothers, and my Momma.  Then, we went on another walk with a huge pack of people.  I've never seen this many dogs like me in my life!  It was lots of fun.  I walked next to my brother, Ryder, and other friends who I met.
After we walked, we went back to the foster showcase tent, where we saw adoptable dogs.  My daddy is still available to adopt, but he wasn't there.  Oh well.  He's still building up his confidence at home, I think he's a great guy!

Bosses brought me to the off-leash dog play area nearby, where I got to play with my new best friends, my brothers, and Momma.  We loved it!

After that, we went around the other shops and got some cool free swag (and treats, let's be real).  We found more friends, and we even found my old Foster Sibling, Lobo!  What a crazy fun guy!

We got to try out an Agility course, which was fun.  All I did was walk across a bridge-type thing and I got Mom's homemade sweet potato treats.  Umm, yeah, of course I'm going to do that!  Easy as pie.
We waited in line for a long time to do this thing Bosses called a "Luring Course".  I chased this fluffy something around for about 5 minutes and wore myself out!  It was a blast!  It was like setting my kitty siblings free in the yard and chasing them around the perimeter!  The bosses that ran the course said I did really well for my first time doing it.  Maybe this will be in my future next summer.  Bosses were also thinking of doing a "Dock Dog" class- maybe I will be a sporty girl.  Who knows.  What do you think?

Bosses made a game-day decision to let me swim in the lake with the rest of my brand-new buddies.  I mean, after all, that would be torture.  So, they unhooked me from my leash, and I bolted into the water.  Small Boss said I looked like some lochness monster out in the water, but Big Boss said I ran like someone out of a scene from Baywatch.  That, my friends, was definitely a compliment.  My trip to the lake would not be complete without a good roll in the sand, too.  Small boss cringed, but she's not a dog- she has NO idea how exhilirating it is!

Well, I'm pretty much out for the next few days, but I'll try to write in my utterly groggy state.  All I can say is that I officially have a "Goldzilla Hangover".  Woof-da (give me a break, I'm a Minnesota dog).

Super Sunday: Woof-da!

Well, safe to say, yesterday was a blast.  Bosses took me to their friends' place, and I got to hang out while they played games and watched football.  And, they have a fluffy friend there, too.....he thinks I'm a bit much to handle though.  I don't get why people call me a "busybody"....I just like to have fun!

Bosses finally found me a toy that I am obsessed with.  And this time, I can't obliterate it into smithereens.  Small Boss has said that I'd be the perfect paper shredder, because apparently I can even do "cross-shredding".  Guess I'll take that as a compliment- I like compliments.  It even has a hole to put little biscuit men into.  That keeps me pretty busy!

After we footballed, two of my best furry friends came over to play!  And ANOTHER bonfire!  I don't get to see these furry friends often, because one lives an hour and a half away from my house.  They love to wear me out- these guys are all puppies, too, so we keep each other busy.  Not that I mind...I love being busy!  Bosses couldn't get us all in one screen this time for an updated picture, but here we are a few months back into Puppyhood:

Sigh.....the weekend is almost over.  I'm pooped.  I guess the rumor is true: there IS a way to wear me out, after all.  I hope every weekend can be like this one!  We are about to head out to a big furry festival called "Goldzilla".  It's a fundraiser and festival hosted by Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota.  I'll be going to support my other buddies...and let's be real: it is ALL about playtime and TONS of people who love Golden Retrievers.  AKA me.  So I bet I'll be sleeping for days after we come back home!  Bosses always say "let sleeping dogs lie"...I don't get it.  Time to head out and greet the people!
