Wordless Wednesday: Bittersweet Time
I thought I'd use my last Wordless Wednesday before Kaiser leaves our house to celebrate our time together. He just got neutered today, and so he's relaxing and recovering today- I guess I can give him some space so he can feel better ASAP. I just can't believe he won't be here with us after Friday afternoon- I'm going to be one sad puppy :(

Adventure Dog Tuesday: Jay Cooke State Park
Happy Adventure Dog Tuesday!
We'd like to start our post off today with some GReat news: Our buddy Kaiser, will be adopted on Friday! He will now be known as Geno- named after a famous hockey player. His new family is fantastic, and we know we'll get to see him every once in a while- they only live 15 minutes away! So hooray for Kaiser/Geno! :)
Anywho, back to our Adventure Dog Tuesday.
We LOVE adventures around here, so you'll be hearing about our excursions for a loooong time. :)
Our second camping trip from this past summer was with our friends up to Jay Cooke State Park, up near Duluth, Minnesota. We thought this place was a gem- there was something to do for the entire weekend. It was a little more loud and crowded than other places we go to up on the North Shore, but the campsites were far enough away and separated by trees that it didn't matter much.
This was the one weekend this summer that we didn't get rained out at least one night.
The campsite was enjoyable. Busy, but enjoyable. It was a little more difficult to reserve a campsite here, because so many people like to camp here that you do have to book your weekend at least 6-8 months in advance. We managed to get two campsites that were across the street from each other- pretty snazzy!
There were so many hiking trails to go along. Not only were there hiking trails, there was a really nice biking trail for Bosses, too! We went along the Munger Trail, a rugged hiking trail along the river. We thought it was fun!
Bosses even taught me how to swim in a calm bay off the river. I LOVED it. I am now addicted to swimming. :) See, I told you I was a water dog!
Small Boss had a rather unfortunate "spill" on our afternoon hike on Saturday. I was hiking along with the Big Boss, and Small Boss lost her footing on a rock face and fell down 15 feet with her nice DSLR camera in her hand. She cut up her knee really good, and the camera survived! We were so prepared that we even forgot band-aids....oh wait, yeah, we weren't prepared at all. The Big Boss is an Eagle Scout, he was NOT prepared whatsoever! Oh well, I digress. We got back to camp and cleaned up Small Boss and she was fine.
I got to play all weekend with my little buddy, Jax! He's quite the guy. :) I'm always bummed when we have to go our separate ways, but I know that he'll always be my little buddy! Friendship is the best ship!
Well, I hope you enjoyed my pictures and memories from my lovely July camping trip! Have you been on any fun camping trips? What kind of memories or good advice do you have?
Chow!

Adventure Dog Tuesday: Fall Lovin'
Good Morning, Friends!
It's been raining these colored, crunchy things for some time now. Bosses say it is the peak of this season they call "Autumn", or "fall". I've been helping them to my best ability to get the leaves as evenly dispersed as much as I can!
One thing I particularly love about the fall is that Bosses love to be outside more. I love to be outside ALL the time, 'cause I'm an outdoorsy girl, after all....but those Bosses are just so picky. We haven't had much time out there in the past few days because we have our two buddies (Kaiser and Trackr) and no fence. Luckily, our little black puppy (Trackr) found a new foster home, so Bosses can devote a little more time playing and exploring outside, and less picking up, well, you-know-what. ;-)
Check out this rainbow we saw after the last rain we had!!! Boss and I sat out and enjoyed the splendor. We both thought the beautiful peaking fall colors and the rainbow were just breathtaking.
We're gearing up for "The Big One" around here- yes! My First Birthday!!! It's on Saturday. Hopefully the Small Boss will have some spare time to get all the preparations in order. Sounds like fun to me!
Well, I've been on Bosses' computer too long- my tiny playmates are calling.
Chow!

Monday Mischief: Breaking News!! New Fluff!
Hello, everyone!
Prepare for trouble....
...make it DOUBLE!
You're not seeing double, we have raised you a Golden puppy!
This is our new buddy, Kaiser. He's our foster puppy- not a permanent part of the family. We're taking him in and teaching him how to be the best puppy until he finds his forever home. Welcome, Kaiser, and we hope you enjoy it here with our furry little fam! :)
But wait! There's more! Bring a Golden puppy home and bring a Black puppy home!!!
Yes, you heard it! We are temporary fostering another puppy as well- his name is Trackr. He may or may not be Kaiser's sibling...we're not 100% sure. They and one other pup (another supposed sibling) were found abandoned in a ditch in Alabama, and were rescued/transported to Minnesota to find forever homes. Funny thing is...they don't look alike at all.
What do you think? Siblings, or not siblings?
Chow!

Black & White Sunday: Surprise!

Thoughtful Tuesday: Rant and Rave
Well, fans, I'm still pooped.
This weekend was a doozy! Bosses said I was out like a light. No peeps. All was quiet at the ranch. I decided to give them a break.
I thought I would extend a huge thank you to everyone who has read my blog so far- I'm still pretty young, and Bosses have only taken me to one grade of Obedience School, so give me a break if my "etiquette" isn't up to sniff...oh, I meant snuff. You know what I mean. I'll try to reel you in for the long haul- I've got MANY years left, brace yourselves!
I also want to thank all the wonderful folks at RAGOM for everything they have done for me- whether it was letting me hang my head at their home, bathing me when I was a wee little pup, entertaining me at events (like Meet & Greets, Goldzilla, etc), and giving me the life I've always wanted! Thank you, everyone!
I've got so much to look forward to in the coming months. I'll be going camping with the Bosses and their friends and adjoining pups this weekend in Southern Minnesota- I'm more than stoked for that. That means LOTS of puppy playtime and hiking! Count me in! I will also be turning 1 YEAR OLD in a few weeks!!! Can you believe it?!?!? Bosses say it felt like yesterday that they brought tiny little me home to live with them. Boy, what a ride it has been! I think Bosses are crafting up something wonderful for my birthday- I overheard them possibly saying that a group birthday party with all my siblings might be in the works, but maybe my ears are a bit fuzzy! Well, I guess they are literally fuzzy, but you get the point! Bosses are doing their best to make an awesome Birthday Week for me!
Well, good treat-givers, I'm afraid I have been away from my favorite carpet spot way too long...it's time to hit the hay.
Chow! Hope to bark at you all again at full force tomorrow!

Super Sunday: Woof-da!
Well, safe to say, yesterday was a blast. Bosses took me to their friends' place, and I got to hang out while they played games and watched football. And, they have a fluffy friend there, too.....he thinks I'm a bit much to handle though. I don't get why people call me a "busybody"....I just like to have fun!
Bosses finally found me a toy that I am obsessed with. And this time, I can't obliterate it into smithereens. Small Boss has said that I'd be the perfect paper shredder, because apparently I can even do "cross-shredding". Guess I'll take that as a compliment- I like compliments. It even has a hole to put little biscuit men into. That keeps me pretty busy!
After we footballed, two of my best furry friends came over to play! And ANOTHER bonfire! I don't get to see these furry friends often, because one lives an hour and a half away from my house. They love to wear me out- these guys are all puppies, too, so we keep each other busy. Not that I mind...I love being busy! Bosses couldn't get us all in one screen this time for an updated picture, but here we are a few months back into Puppyhood:
Sigh.....the weekend is almost over. I'm pooped. I guess the rumor is true: there IS a way to wear me out, after all. I hope every weekend can be like this one! We are about to head out to a big furry festival called "Goldzilla". It's a fundraiser and festival hosted by Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota. I'll be going to support my other buddies...and let's be real: it is ALL about playtime and TONS of people who love Golden Retrievers. AKA me. So I bet I'll be sleeping for days after we come back home! Bosses always say "let sleeping dogs lie"...I don't get it. Time to head out and greet the people!
