Thoughtless Thursay: Rumblings of Doggie Parties?!

Hey There, Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of daily postings around here- everyone's been quite busy around here.  Hunter had a vet appointment (which is 20 minutes away), working at jobs, Mom is "simplifying our lives" and getting rid of a ton of our stuff, and enjoying life as it is here at the "petting zoo"!

Anyone want a squeaky toy?!
Things are going pretty well.  I've been my usual nutty self, going to the P-A-R-K, keeping Hunter busy, making sure the kitties are getting their fair share of attention, and filling my social calendar.

My momma, Nicole, taking in all the sights.
Yes!  Of course I have a social calendar! January and February are usually very busy for me (not the Bosses, me).  Next weekend, I have a doggie party for my foster sister, Kraelyn (who is a really big Goldendoodle), and we'll have a blast at an indoor doggy park facility.  Here are some pictures from last year!

Chester and I have way too much fun together!
After that, I have a private party with some puppy friends scheduled for an indoor doggie pool.  A pool party- for dogs!  And no humans!  I'm hoping to perfect my dock diving form for the summer. :)  This girl misses her puppy pool in the yard!  Hopefully Bosses have been diligently squirreling away enough money to get me a fence, too.  A dog can dream, right?

Having so much fun, boss!
What are you up to lately?  I'd love to hear from you all!

PHOTOBOMB!!!
Mommy and me! :)
Not even close to how many dogs were actually there.
Me (the tiny one) and my new BFF, Cody!

Brother Dylan and I getting a drink of water at the water station.
The aftermath: sweet victory of a sleeping pup.

Monday Mischief: IT'S HERE!!!!

Guys!!!

Hey! Guys!!!

THE WHITE FLUFFY STUFF IS BACK!!!

The Bosses call this stuff "snow", but whatever it's called, it's the BEST. STUFF. EVER.

Will I stop whining at the door to go out?  Absolutely not! They call it "MinneSNOWta" for a reason!

The "snowpocolypse" (as some Minnesotans have been calling it) started around 3am this morning and is not supposed to let up until Tuesday morning.  We find it interesting, because not only is this our first heavy snowfall of the year, it's the first snowfall of the year.

Guess Winter didn't want to wait- Mother Nature, bring it on!  I'm ready for you!

Take a look- our pictures are just as fresh as the snow is on this chilly, chilly Monday morning!

Enjoy! :)

Sepia Saturday: Winter is Coming.

It's coming, everyone.  We're gearing up for winter- we're expecting significant amounts of snow on Sunday night into Monday morning.  Boy, I wish that jacket still fit me ;-)

Tail-Chasing Thursday: Entertain Me

Well, Fans, Bosses have left me to go to work again.

"But Sadie, Small Boss really isn't even gone all that long, right?"  I hear off in the distance.

Mom made me this snazzy bed- it's way too big!

Even the smallest amounts of time left alone with my squirrel/kitty siblings is just...well...boring.  Squirrels Thor and Allie just sleep all day- they're the lamest siblings ever.  Figures- right when I want to take my evening nap, they get all hyper and crazy.  What's with that sleep schedule of theirs?!  We'll never know- they never tell me their kitty secrets.

All Thor and Allie do is nap.  I'm so bored!
Now that I am back to full speed from last weekend, now I just want to do something.  Oh, hey! I know!  I'm going to shred my Pirate Reindeer a little more.  Bosses say that when I get determined to demolish these things, that it looks like it snowed in the house.  What do you think?  I think it's only September, and I told them that it's merely a mirage.  Anything to keep that vacuum cleaner from turning on!
I got into a little bit of trouble with the "snow"
Bosses have started packing for our camping trip this weekend. I can't believe we get to leave tomorrow to see all my friends again!  Bosses' friends reserved a "Group Campsite" for us- that fits 55 people.  Most of our buddies backed out at the last minute, so now we have 8 people.  But wait, there's more!

There will be 4 or 5 dogs there!!!!

8 Bosses to get pets from, 4 or 5 dogs to entertain me?!

BRING. IT. ON, NATURE.

Can't wait to find another river to drag the Bosses through!
Another piece of good news: I'm featured on dogoftheday.com today!

Wagging Wednesday: I'm Baaaaaaack

HEY GUYS!

Two days later, and I'm back to crazy dog Sadie!

I love to run with my ears flapping in the wind!
I found a new stuffed animal the other day- now it is my prisoner.  I have turned him into me pirate, yarrrrr.  I usually eat the face first- no rationale behind it, but it's just my thing.

Don't you like my artwork?
Boss is giving me a 24-hour notice that a strange treat-giver will be coming to the house tomorrow.  She says to not bark at him, because he's meeting with Small Boss to entertain the notion of installing a full fence in the yard.  Hey, if it means that I can be tie-out-free, then of course I'm going to love that guy until he's smothered by me!  I'm a pretty good girl, but I do need a fence to remind myself that this is MY yard, that no one will go through the fence, and maybe that will make the neighbors happy, too!  They seem to be afraid of me.  I'm just a loving dog, but I haven't convinced them that I'm awesome yet.  I'm working on it- I got the small mailmen to pet me, so maybe I can get their grandparents to as well!

Don't worry...I've upgraded to MUCH bigger sticks.
So, hooray for fences!  My siblings and buddies will be able to come over more frequently too, since Bosses would have a way to keep them all in one place without any worries that dogs would wander away.  So, parties at my house?!  With other dogs?!  I only see good things about this!

Maybe my siblings can come to MY house once we have a fence!
Chasing my buddy JJ around in the yard.
I've been having so much fun at this blogging business!  It's almost been a week, if you can believe that.  I also love to see the fact that people have been loving the posts as well.  So thank you for the feedback!  Keep it coming!  I'll keep trying my best to be as adventurous and creative as possible.

Sporty Saturday: Football Edition

So, this new fall season has got to be one of the best seasons ever.  I haven't been able to experience this whole Autumn season all these people talk about.  But let me tell you, this whole fall business is fantastic so far.  Here's why:

  • Pumpkin.  Bosses (or at least the short Boss) loves this fall season and all the pumpkin-flavored things that it has to offer.  So, in her pumpkin-flavored frenzy, she made me these pumpkin/peanut butter flavored biscuits!  Holy cow. I totally understand now.  Bring on more of that!
  • Football.  Bosses also love football- both the short one and the tall one.  They seem to get pretty vocal towards the tv these days.  I don't get it- I just like watching the ball move on the screen.  I also love to get my face in the way of the tv.  Not only do I get quality snuggle time on the couch with them, I get to go to other places (or people come to ours) and they play games and eat lots of food.  And they love to give me attention.  And I get to play with their pets!
  • Bonfires.  Bosses had a bonfire last night, since it was so clear outside.  Bosses also live really far North and were trying to watch some exciting laser pointer show (my kitty siblings love that thing) (also, they're calling this laser pointer show the "Northern Lights").  Anywho, I was a little enraged because Bosses were taking logs and starting them on FIRE.  WHAT WERE THEY DOING WITH MY TOYS?!  I digress.  It was nice and warm, and people paid attention to me, and it was tons of fun.  Why didn't Bosses do this more when it was mildly warmer?  These people don't make sense. ;-)

The bosses have also been talking about re-doing some of the things in our house...like...the carpet that I shredded the other day while they were at work.  They left me, like every other day, and when both cars drove away, I guess you could say that I freaked out.  I thought they were never coming back!  So....I ate their staircase.  Well, at least 3 stairs worth.  I didn't actually EAT it, but I definitely shredded it to the point that they couldn't just put the piece of carpet back on.  Oops.  Bosses weren't very happy about that.  But, at least they blamed the cats for starting it.....and me finishing it.  So, they're thinking about replacing the stairs with laminate flooring.  I'm not sure what to think about that!  What am I supposed to do, chew on bones and antlers?!

(This no longer has carpet, period. I was just that lonely.)

.....fine.  I'll just chew on appropriate items. (Sigh)

Well, from all this fall excitement, I must say that I am out for the count, as you can see.  Time to rest up for more adventures coming in a few hours!

Chow!
