Thoughtless Thursday: Trimming the Tree!

It's official!

Our tree has been put up!

The tree, all trimmed!
This was me next to the tree last year:

Mischief at 11 weeks old.
And this is this year's picture of me next to the tree! :D

However, my little kitty siblings have been up to no good already.  They sleep IN the tree.  More pictures to follow!  Do you behave around the humans' holiday decorations?

  4. Oh my, that picture of you as a baby is CUTE. For the most part the dogs "sort of" behave around the tree. Cairo is the main one I am worried about. We have a running bet on how long it will take her to knock the tree down! Sassy LOVES balls so we have to watch her around the round ornaments. We have an ex-pen that we put up around the tree. ;-)

    1. Mom and Dad are SO surprised that they've gone 3 years without a tipped tree so far *crossing fingers*. The kitties like to carry the ornaments away. Unfortunately, we can't keep our tree skirt out because Thor will lick the fleece so hard that he rips holes in it. :( Grrr!

  5. Wow! You have certainly grown. We don't have a tree because of the cats. They do love to play in those Spruce trees!

    1. Yeah, I was 11 weeks old-ish at Christmas last year- and ridiculously adorable! Thanks, our tree-trimming is like good wine- it gets better with age! ;-)

    1. There is SO much mischief around here- they terrorize the Christmas village that Mom sets up, acting like Catzilla. They climb the tree. They gnaw on the garland until pieces fall off. The Bosses both always say "THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!!!!" :-P

  8. Your kitties sleep IN the tree? That is brilliant. You should give it a try.
We think your tree is very much BEAUTIFUL.

    1. Think the tree will support a 53-lb dog? Let's give it a try!.....

......maybe not. I bet Bosses wouldn't like that. Hmph. :(

    1. I'm really not sure- this tree is very fake, so there's no good smells, either! We call it the "bungalow". Maybe it's their primal instinct or something- acting like a cheetah or something!

  10. You look very mature in the photo from this year. My kitties like to sleep under the tree, but the first year they were at our house for Christmas, no surprise, cat bro Bert kept climbing the tree and knocking it over. It was a big mess.

    1. Oh my. That sounds like a mess! Ours hasn't knocked over in the 3 years we've set it up *knock on wood*. They DO take their favorite ornaments and take them within 5 feet of the tree and pull the ribbons off. What the?!!

Thanks for stopping by! You're "paw"some. I do my best to respond to my "fan mail" within 24 hours of it being received, but please be patient- my paws are pretty clumsy at the keyboard! :)
