FitDog Friday: The LAST Last Roughhouse

Hey, Everyone!

Happy Friday!  I'm sooooo happy we're finally to the weekend- TGIF.

It's a big day around here- Kaiser's big "Gotcha Day"!  His family will be here in a few hours to pick him up.  The 2 big humans are coming over earlier than their 2 small mailmen think- they don't think they're getting a puppy until tonight.  Little do they know, our friend will be there by the time they get home from school!  Woo hoo!

I'm not really allowed to play very hard with my little chew toy (whoops, I meant Kaiser)- he just got neutered a few days ago.  But, I can't help myself- we got a little exercise today to make sure he'll be nice and tired for his big adoption day. :)  I have to teach him how to be fit, right?

Enjoy some pictures of our last moments together! :)  Until our next playdate (or so we hope), we love you SO much, Kaiser (or now Geno)!!!

We share so well- I have to teach him how to eat sticks.
Those eyes....so gorgeous.
Boss got me a new collar!
Look at how big my buddy has gotten! Me (53 lbs) vs. Kaiser/Geno (now 15.5 lbs)
Look at Boss' beautiful fall bush!
I will sure miss going on our strolls around the yard together. <3

  1. Good for the little one having his forever home. I'm sure you will miss the little squirt, but life will also be more peaceful without a pup. My little sis Bailie came to our place last year, we played and she stayed, and stayed, and seems to be staying for the rest of her life. Sometimes I love having her around, but sometimes she can be a real pain in the fur! Enjoy your last day together.

    1. The Bosses are pretty excited to turn things back down a notch around here, or so I've heard. Bailie seems to be lingering, eh? It's always nice to have a "partner-in-crime" though, that's for sure! :) Maybe someday, I'll have a permanent "partner-in-crime", too. You never know. Have a wonderful Friday- enjoy the warm weather while it lasts! We sure are!

    1. Shucks! I tried to tell the Bosses that, and maybe we should be an adorable pair forever, but they didn't give in :( Maybe next time we find an adorable pair of us, I'll pester them again!

    1. Thank you! They had a sweet clearance over at our local Petsmart on all the Halloween items, so we snagged a few things to make the holiday a little more festive. I'm hoping they'll bring Kaiser/Geno over or I can visit- he's my little friend! :)

    1. We miss him so much. I acted more pathetic than a mopey zoo lion after he left- it was pretty tragic. I think I'm over it now- Bosses are giving me extra special attention to make sure I transition well. :)

    1. I know! He's a smart dog, though, and he will get the hang of the new "Geno" name. I believe in him!

  6. That just melts my heart - it doesn't get ANY cuter than your photos here. But how exciting for a Gotcha day :) (Mort just had his #3!) Congrats. And I'm still swooning over those photos!!!

    1. He is a super heart melter- our hearts were oozing when we got to spend time with him! His "Gotcha Day" was very sweet and heartfelt- congrats to you, Mort and family, for your 3rd "Gotcha Day"!!! That's so wonderful. My first "Gotcha Day" isn't until December! It hasn't even been a year since I was rescued- this time last year, I was in a fenced-in dog run with my little fam (us puppies were about 2 weeks old). Hard to believe!

  7. Congratulations now Gino! This is just such happy news even if the roughhousing with Sadie won't be as often. A forever home is totally worth the sacrifice, don't you think? :)

    1. It is always worth the sacrifice! Letting go is tough, but knowing he will be the dog that two little kids grow up with warms our family's heart :) They love him to pieces already- I am so happy we found them!

    1. Thank you! So far, we haven't heard a peep from them- we're hoping no news is good news at this point. They were beaming from ear to ear. We're so glad we found them amongst the pile of puppy adoption applications! :)

    1. It was so bittersweet. The house is just a little quieter, though, which we are thankful for. For now. :) We'll probably get another foster dog soonish, but maybe not in the form of a tiny puppy. Our carpet needs a little break from the puppy accidents! bol!

Thanks for stopping by! You're "paw"some. I do my best to respond to my "fan mail" within 24 hours of it being received, but please be patient- my paws are pretty clumsy at the keyboard! :)
