Monday Mischief: The First #mondaymischief

Hey There, Readers!

I am back from my Southern Minnesota camping adventure, and boy, am I tired!  But just perky enough to write my first Monday Mischief blog hop post.  How exciting is that?!

Well, the Bosses just love when I get into mischief- well, the innocent and non-destructive kind.  Let's be honest- and don't tell Bosses this- but I think they get into plenty of mischief themselves.  But shhh, you didn't hear that from me.

Licking my chops before my mischief.
Moving on.  My latest mischief "mishap" has been the carpeted-stairs (or lack of) in the house.  I got a little lonely and bored a few weeks ago, and went to town on Bosses' staircase.  And by go to town, I mean I ripped up (and shredded) two stairs worth of the carpet and the padding.  Bosses are not thrilled.  But I think they're devising a plan to fix this lack of comfy sitting/walking spaces.  Can I be completely honest?  I don't mean to point fingers here, but I'm pretty sure that Thor and Allie started the whole "demolition" process.  They like to scratch their claws all over the edges of the stairs, and while they may not physically take the carpet off the stairs, the areas that they touch do look super fuzzy and different.  So, I took their "artwork" and made it into a "masterpiece".

This meanie framed me!!!  I'm in trouble, and he's taking a nap!

Voila!
My latest "mischief". Red handed.
...Bosses didn't like my artwork, either.  Drat.

Well, I'm back to my post-crazy-weekend nap.  Tune in tomorrow for my first Adventure Dog post about last weekend's camping trip!  This one is a doozy!

Chow!

  1. You know I'm in MN too! I have two sisters, and my little sis Bailie who is one says you two need to get together. Mom has left Bailie out of the kennel a few times now and has returned to shredded beds, pillows, etc. I bet the two of you could take down an entire house while the humans are away! My older sister and I just watch her in disapproval as we are older and know better! Bailie says, keep up your good work!

    1. Great to hear from you, Emma! I didn't know you were in MN too- from the sounds of it, us rambunctious dogs DO need to get together and burn off some energy! I have shredded the memory foam bathmats, the kitchen rugs, the carpet on the stairs, Small Bosses' underwear and shoes, the list goes on! I bet you're right- we could make a house look like it got sent through the shredder if we were alone. Bailie, you keep up your good work too! Just don't tell the Bosses that I told you that...... ;-)

    1. I couldn't agree with you more, Sue, Jeffie, Rudy, and Rosie. My one kitty sister Allie is awesome and totally lethargic and apathetic, and then there is my rambunctious kitty brother, Thor, who is always up to no good. And he usually frames me for it. At least the Bosses are catching on to his naughty behavior and don't blame me for all his handiwork!

    1. ....guilty as charged. I'll claim this one. I better not keep up the week-long mischief, and maybe I should share this one with my kitty brother, Thor! He's a "24/7-mischief-maker" kind of guy. ;-)

    1. I am just an Honest Abe...I took the blow for the kitties, but now the Bosses know that I wasn't the one that started it, so they are monitoring the initial culprit. That naughty kitty! (It's really just Thor, not the little Allie kitty)

  7. Oh, Miss Sadie! That is some beautiful artwork you made for your parents to come home to - I can't believe they didn't enjoy it as much as you did! :D Keep blaming the kitties, though, and I'm sure they'll come around ;)

    1. Bosses came around. Small Boss is using this as a splendid opportunity to get pretty laminate flooring that was inspired by some "Pinterest" board she always talks about? I guess that elimates the possibility of me getting framed again, so she should keep going on Pinterest. ;-) Thanks for visiting!

Welcome to the Monday Mischief Blog Hop, and what a great start for you! That's some pretty impressive mischief and I love how you try to divert the blame in the cat direction too, you're good, I can't wait to see what you come up with next week! :)

Keep up the great week, you're pawsome!

    Your pal Snoopy :)

    1. Thanks, Snoopy! I really can't take ALL the credit here, maybe Thor should hop in here and brag a bit ;-) But I did do a majority of the handiwork, too! I'll see what I can do for next week- I've been known to cause quite the mischief around here. Until then, I'll point the paw at the cats! :)

Thanks for stopping by! You're "paw"some. I do my best to respond to my "fan mail" within 24 hours of it being received, but please be patient- my paws are pretty clumsy at the keyboard! :)
